The Claw-Final Phase



Weapons of The Claw

Real name: Todd Ticket
Affiliation: The Claw and Intellect Defense
Temperament:
ON THE STREET:
Calm, publicly shy, determinded, stumbles over words, likable, funny, good-natured, kind, but unlucky with girls.
AS THE CLAW:
Steel-worker turned gymnast, strong, agile, brave, unafraid of heights, quick-thinking/reflexes, and persistant.
Weapons/Equipment:
CLAWS:
Retractable twin drill/claws, one on each hand, able to fire from each hand and connected by a ionic-bond version of a magnetic tractor beam. Able to drill through solid metal with diamond-tipped drills and crush car engines with hydraulic claws. Claw ‘blades’ contain multiple dual-directions ‘hinges’ for versatility.
TRACTOR BEAMS:
Claws are fired off with a combination of electromagnetic/harmonic repulsors. The repulsors are specifically tuned to the claw’s harmonic frequency so that they will pull back or launch out, instead of attracting/retracting anything else.
IONIC BOND:
Interior of claws and bottom of boots contain alien ionic bonding substance, enabling him to stick to surfaces.
ION CANNON 'SHOCK BALLS':
Interior of claws also contain ionic-bond firing ion cannons, capable of rendering electronic equipment worthless and living tissue unconscious. Later will be able to fire a liquid ionic-bond for trapping targets in place.
HELMET:
Helmet includes various filtering/analyzing/sensory-boosting/scanning equipment.
Ticket can target with his eyes by looking at his target. External speakers and internal functions are all voice activated.

Dual, wrist mini-LAW’s on chains under his street clothes.

Phase Spectre


Real name: Marla Walsh
Affiliation: The Claw and Intellect Defense
Temperament: Smart, clever, direct, defensive, attentive, sharp, and short-tempered.
Weapons/Equipment: Wears a portable, voice-activated device on her belt that allows her to phase through solid objects. Provides some light fracturing ability but it's not designed for that.
Preferred Strike: A snappy come-back with her quick wit in defense of her work.

A scientist, inventor, designer, and perfectionist. Always trying to rebuild the perfect mousetrap! But in order to rebuild it she needs to locate the flaws, which she does too often.

Designer/builder of The Claw's original L.A.W. weapon/equipment in cooperation with the President/Owner of Intellect Defense.
Also built The Claw's functional model of the newly revised C.L.A.W., thinking the design came from the President/Owner of Intellect Defense.

Also designed/built Random Bishop's Bondman ionic bond equipment and The Claw's S.U.V. Clutch vehicle.

Would rather spend time at a workbench or scientific facility than date or fight crime. But when the odds stack against the Intellect Defense's heroes she realizes she has no choice but to aid in the fight, however she can!

In the line of duty, Marla can't help but now be just a little bit jealous of Todd's growing relationship with the mysterious woman known only as Bionica... Although she would never admit it outloud, or even to herself...

Bondman


Real name: Police Chief Random Bishop
Affiliation: The Claw and Intellect Defense
Temperament: Patient, street-smart, kind, determined, able to take control but also ask for/accept help, and providing.
Weapons/Equipment: Ionic bond net launcher, grendade-glop mortar, stream-line rifle, and recovered alien laser.
Preferred Weapon: His police-issued .40 caliber pistol.

The current police chief of Cycle City, who believes in Ticket's mentor that more than just police are needed to keep the people safe. Also unsanctioned by Cycle City's new mayor, Bishop goes behind her back to supply information to Intellect Defense, supervise The Claw's actions in the field, and provide back-up if necessary.

A family man, whose ethics are put to the test when the new mayor forces Bishop's hand and orders him to arrest The Claw, despite their positive, peace-keeping actions.

Armed with multiple non-lethal, crowd-controling ionic bond weapons created by Marla Bishop takes to the street with the hopes bettering the city for his family.

Triplicate - Ein, Dual, & Thryce


Real name: Unknown
Affiliation: The Claw and Intellect Defense
Temperament: Smart, clever, direct, strong, and distracted.
Powers/Abilities: Able to use all senses through all of his bodies and control them with perfect clarity. Range: Yet to be determined. Athletic tumbling/fighting: Attacks opponents from 3 different directions with unparalleled coordination and tumbling tactics.
Preferred Strike: Catch, swing, and stomp.

Triplets born with one mind controlling and operating all three bodies. His abilities came via Crime Shark's "Prowl" drug and he wants justice and/or revenge for what he did to he and his brothers.

He gave his individual bodies names so that others could differentiate but it's not necessary for him.

An excellent spy and hand-to-hand combat fighter. Currently not proficient with any weapons; he doesn't feel he needs them.

He is often reminding others that for him, controlling one body is like others waving only one hand. When frustrated, he will sometimes speak through all 3 bodies. He is searching for a cure to his situation and he lives with the regret that he might have killed his actual brothers. But he still fights with hope to find a way to live a normal life.

He has spent these last few months gathering others to his cause to extract revenge upon Crime Shark. They now attack the jail with the hopes of putting an end to this fiendish man.

Little does he realize how askew his designs will turn...

The New Mayor

Female Mayor of Cycle City/Ticket’s boss-doesn’t like The Claw.

Out to 'clean up' Cycle City she begins to create new laws and is prepared to enforce them. And all the changes she makes are the wrong ones.

The first thing she sets out to do is stop the city's vigilante forces, starting with The Claw!

Police Chief captain Random Bishop is very unhappy about this, especially since he is helping The Claw behind her back!

To help enforce this she authorized one of the companies in town to create their own line of vigilante-fighting 'police enforcers'... starting with Blue Lightening!

Blue Lightening


Real Name: Erol Hyer
The official protector of Cycle City, even though The Claw’s been around longer.
They are natural competitors. Blue Lightening has orders to bring The Claw to justice.
Blue Lightening is openly supported by other companies and affiliates. (Which means he’s a glory-hound cheeseball.)
Carries a flying, arial jet-pack unit. The equivalent of a one-manned, flying fighter jet.

Bionica


Real name: UNKNOWN
Affiliation: UNKNOWN
Temperament: Fun-loving, adventurous, a bit on the wild side, flirtatious, reckless, compationate, and head-strong.
Weapons/Equipment:
IONIC BOND AMPLIFIED HYDROLIC SKELETON: Looking completely human on the outside, Bionica is mostly machine held together by ionic bond on the inside. Her bones have been ioniclly bonded to a complex series of hydrolic lift mechanisims, giving her incredible strength. She is also able to jump high, run fast, and do things no other human could do. Unfortunately, the ionic bond requires a steady stream of electricity in order to remain functional. A small compartment of batteries is installed in her that feeds a steady stream of electricity to her individual systems. These batteries need to be changed regularly. Without the constant flow of electrical current the machines that give her incredible power would kill her.

DUAL, MINI-RAIL GUNS: Carries two, pop-up, internal mini-rail guns in each forearm. The designs were slopped together after extensive research into Dead Bolt’s rail gun. The designs were not stolen-they were figured out by working hard and spying on Dead Bolt.
DUAL, IONIC-BONDING EXOSKELETON HANDS: Thin, small exo-skeleton, robotic hands grab down, latch onto, and bond with her hands when not in use. They are designed to be the same color and pattern as her own hands as to be undetectable when not in use.
FIRING HER EXO-HANDS: A thin, filament cord is wound tight in a quick-release spool near the base of the elbow. With small explosions it can be shot out and used as a grappling hook or weapon, which can be swung from. Maximum 2 city block range.
This is the technology Ticket's mentor traded for access to the ionic bond, not knowing what it's intentions would be used for.
MULTIPLE INTERNAL COMPARTMENTS: Trained as an escape artist, Bionica has multiple tools hidden inside and throughout her body that cannot be detected by scans, including lock-pick devices and first aid kit.
Skills/Abilities:
MARTIAL ARTS EXPERTISE: Varying, international forms of hand to hand combat (Ex. Brazilian Jijitsu).
Preferred Strike: Swing, grab, smooch, wink, and punch. Not necessarily in that order, of course. *wink*

The Claw is chasing down Crimson Shell when he first meets and is assisted by Bionica, a blonde-haired Russian bombshell that seems to like The Claw on a more than professional level!
She swings away before he can get any info on her. As he tries to find her he discovers she has no prints, no ID scans… nothing on record as if she never even existed!
She continues to assist him in his fight against Impervious, the leader of BioMech, for reasons of her own. The Claw is smitten and confused by this very mysterious woman who seems to be strong enough to survive the dangerous life-style of a Cycle City vigilante.

Shackle - Resident Enforcer


Real name: Tyrone Dyson Tyrell
Affiliation: The Claw and his fam
Temperament: Patient-to a point, fearless, unable to be intimidated, call-it-like-it-is,
Weapons/Equipment: 5 foot, steel-enforced, double-handed, fighting crowbar. Multiple layers of combination leather-and-ring-mail 'armor,' designed to deflect gunfire. Multiple throwing railroad spikes. Paired, standard-sized fighting crowbars. Dual, wrap-around grapling hooks and chains.
Skills/Abilities: Expert in martial arts weaponry, including sword, staff, paired fighting nightsticks, pin and chain, throwing knives/stars, 3-piece staff (bone breaker), and spear.
Preferred Strike: 'cuff ya up da side o' de head wit' mah pain-sized crowba'.

Husband and father of 2-1 elder girl and 1 younger boy.

An instructor at a local martial arts club… until his day job at the steel mill went out of business, also. Seeing how bad things started to get in his neighborhood he decided to take matters into in own hands to protect his family and friends. Supported by his wife he used his steel-mill know-how to fashion a bulletproof leather-and-ring mail outfit and life-size, fighting crowbar.

Now he teaches a martial arts weapons course at Fleetwood University along with Sable Blade. Neither Sable Blade nor Shackle realize who the other person is.

Helps to keep crime down in Cycle City when The Claw begins to travel around the world! He eventually learns to work with The Hustler when Sable Blade leaves. Also when they stop butting heads.

Forkliftman


Real name: Brad Cavanaugh
Affiliation: Independent villian
Temperament: Patient, hard-working, focused on his work, determined, stable, hard to provoke, and without hope.
Weapons/Equipment: His giant, forklift-like tank vehicle is fully bullet proof. Made from two forklifts it has a full-range of reach and capabilities, including a high-voltage anti-intruder defense system. Multiple telescoping joints allow it to stretch or reach in almost every direction. And runs on diesle fuel.
Skills/Abilities: Brilliant design engineer used to build cranes, bridges, and buildings for a living. Now he uses his intelligence, creativity, and schooling to destroy them.
Preferred Strike: Low gear; run ya over, squash 'em flat...

Another tired, brilliant, overworked, engineer supervisor who was let go from his company and only a week left to retire.

Building a tank-like super forklift in his garage he used it to break into and steal bank vaults: the ENTIRE vault.
After a run of bank jobs Ticket stops him.

In jail Brad gratefully is served divorce papers and also approached by Superior Johnston’s BioMech. Posing as a lawyer the representative tries to hire him – but he turns them down, blaming the loss of his job and his current bad lot on the scientific community. He would never work for them.

As the 'lawyer' tries to walk away The Conjurer tries to get the BioMech rep to be interested in him but he is flattly refused. Taking an evil note of this The Conjurer looks towards Forkliftman for ideas of the possible future... which are to come sooner than they both expect.

Crime Shark


Real name: Unknown
Affiliation: His underground criminal empire
Temperament: Smart, feisty, short-tempered, controlling, greedy... vivacious.
Powers/Abilities: Owns a small, local drug cartel company that specializes in the street-drug "Prowl," which is based off of an alien predator's DNA. An overuse of the DNA himself has permanently reformed his teeth into a maw of razor-sharp, needle teeth.
Preferred Strike: Sink and sip.

A crime boss who has a fascination for anything with teeth.

With Triplicate's failed attempt to exact revenge upon him he is now back on the streets and ready to pave it with blood and riches...

The Conjurer


Real name: UNKNOWN
Affiliation: Independent villian
Temperament: Insane! Mentally unstable, fits of anger, flights of fancy, easily distracted... but still dangerously brilliant.
Weapons/Equipment: He created a pair of gauntlets that break objects down to their basic molecule and atom sub particles. He is then able to store them in a computer system as energy on his belt and use them to re-create new items. With this technology he is able to create objects from thin air – including weapons and shields!
Skills/Abilities: Intelligent in a variety of science fields, including, but not limited to: biology (including micro), chemistry, geology, zoology, and palientology. A lot of 'ologies.'
Preferred Strike: Make you vanish... then delete your file.

His insanity and creativity are his primary weapons!

He created a pair of gauntlets that allow him to break down and reassemble molecules. He believed that solid matter could be disassembled down to their simplest form, as energy, and stored in a computer database. He further believes that he could also reverse the process using varied combined molecules to create new objects.

He was mocked, ridiculed, and abandoned for his claims... Even in jail! He tried to get a job with Superior Johnston’s BioMech when they approached Forkliftman in prison – but was turned down.

In time, though, he was able to escape when Triplicate failed to extract revenge on Crime Shark while in prison. The Conjurer quickly put his equipment to use… by wrecking havoc as a way to prove he was right!

Joining forces with Forkliftman they created an industrial-powered dinosaur as a lure and trap to steal the ionic bond from The Claw!
With his new toy firmly in his gauntlet hands The Conjurer used the alien substance to make his gauntlet permanently be his hands!

Now he feels that nothing can stop him! At last, he can prove his worth to all those that mocked him!

Bomb Chelle


Real name: Michelle Baum
Affiliation: Crime Shark
Temperament: Cool, calm, calculating, patient, agile, nimble... and angry.
Powers/Abilities: Her body transforms her body’s sweat into nitroglycerin which is secreted through her fingernails. One slash and the target is going to go ‘boom.’ She also has natural body cooling temperatures as well as an uncanny agility intended to keep the nitro at bay. Her abilities are powered by the ‘Prowl’ drug as a birth defect.

She joined the attack against the jail to free Chime Shark after he was captured by The Claw along with Triplicate, Dead Bolt, and Big Bear.

Impervious


Real name: Superior Johnston
Affiliation: BioMech
Temperament: Brilliant, educated, patient, charming, intelligent, resourceful, wise, organized, wealthy, and powerful.
Weapons/Equipment: An entire underground, international scientific criminal empire at his disposal.
Powers/Abilities: KNOWN ABILITIES are not limited to this list. Impervious likes to collect the abilities that work in his 'projects' for himself.
HEAT/RADIATION EYES: Able to fire powerful blasts of heat/radiation from his eyes. Also used for telescoping/night vision.
SUB-ZERO BLAST FROM HANDS: Sub-zero blasts can freeze targets, rendering them susceptible to shattering.
FIRE BREATH: Flamethrowers surgically added and bonded via the ionic bond allow him to literally breathe fire.
SUPER IRON LUNG: Able to breathe out a tremendous amount of wind-power, escalating nearly to hurricane level or freezing temperatures. Ability to alternate lungs allows him to simultaneously breathe in through nose and out through mouth to send a consistent amount of wind indefinitely.
ARMORED SHELL SKIN: Able to create am armored shell on his skin like Shattered Shard, earning him the name Impervious.
CELL REGENERATION: Quick cell regeneration allows him to quickly heal from damage and also slow his aging process.
IONIC BOND SKIN: Controllable ionic bond on surface of skin allows him to hold onto/stick to surfaces.
CONTROL OVER PROJECTS: Superior has an ability that allows him to ‘turn off’ his projects at will so that they cannot be used against him.
HEIGHTENED ABILITIES: Super strength/crushing ability, super grappling/lifting ability, super speed, super jump/fall, super punch/kick, armored bones,; heightened senses; some mind control and enhanced learning/processing ability.
ADDITIONAL POWER RESERVOIR POTENTIAL: It takes ‘space’ within his body to hold more abilities. Superior has secretly stolen Maximus’s abilities so that he can increase he size if he needs to take on more abilities. Even his own scientists don’t know about this ability!
Preferred Strike: To see an opponent actual destroy themselves with their own weapons. Saves me the effort.

The head of BioMech; an illegal, underground science facility that makes biologically and mechanically enhanced super soldiers, 'projects' – to the right bidder, for the highest price!
His primary claim to fame is the fact that his scientists discovered the way to successfully ionically bond living tissue with mechanical weapons on a cellular level so that there is no distinction between the two. This provides their 'projects' with unlimited super-human abilities.
Superior Johnston collected a group of mad scientists who were unwanted, not liked, and not believed by their scientific peers. Many are cast out for concepts that were borderline illegal, whose theories were banded, ridiculed, ignored, and wanted by Federal law!
They are the scientific equivalent of what happened to the industry/steel workers and engineers.
Dumb enough to try their experiments anyway but smart enough to not do them on themselves. They have a long line of willing guinea pigs with the poor, strong, jobless industry workers.
They create lawless villains specifically to help illegally fund their highly dangerous experiments! They want to destroy their rivals – the other scientists in the community! And they have access to their biggest weapon: the ionic bond.
An enemy targeted by the USA’s military top most wanted list. They recognized that Superior Johnston was a national threat but they needed help flushing him out of hiding. They knew of Ticket's mentor's very public and verbal outspoken view on the scientists of the area. They asked him to push the envelope and openly threaten Superior – which he did. He also had New Project Lashline try to infiltrate his group while Ticket was still recovering from his previous battle with Mind Wipe.

Nexus


Real name: Dr. Newton Harshaw
Affiliation: BioMech
Temperament: Excited, tunnel-vision, visionary, impulsive, focused on his work, socially inept.
Weapons/Equipment: Has a suit that allows him to manipulate metal objects magnetically, enabling him to construct them into robots, weapons, or other scientific necessities. His suit is charged by a self-generating reactor that maneuvers twin turbines around his body, giving him a magnetic-gravitational field. A set of four ‘quad-claws’ provide additional labor support and four remote-operated probe ‘eyes’ give him a better view of his work.
Skills/Abilities: Head of BioMech’s Robotics-Led Superior Johnston’s robotics division before he was defeated. He then became the Robotics science instructor at Fleetwood college.
Preferred Strike: I'm a robotisist, not a fighter.

Helped develop the following projects: Ring Blade, Arachnid, and Crimson Shell.
His helmet is used for welding. He also uses a digital virtual reality fabrication machine to create machine parts in minutes.
Despite Nexus' protests, Superior Johnston gave Ring Blade weapons based off of his robot-building tools as a way to silence him, keep him out of his hair... and to see if they would work. Nexus was upset, seeing his delicate mechanations being put to such simple, and barbaric, purposes. Using Ring Blade as a guinea pig, Superior Johnston was relieved when The Claw helped put his nephew behind bars… without being able to trace the weapons back to him! Now he’d be put away for a very long time and he wouldn’t have to put up with his insistant griping anymore. Once he was behind bars Nexus couldn't complain on the device's use anymore and was now able to work in peace.

Shattered Shard


Real name: Garret Baker
Affiliation: BioMech
Temperament: Violent, quick-tempered, vengeful, unwise, rash, and vicious.
Powers/Abilities: Physical body has been genetically altered into a super-strong, rubbery, jelly-like substance that is capable of bending, twisting, or altering into any form or shape. His skin has been altered to form a metallic crystalline shield when exposed to oxygen. With it he can can form any number of bladed weapons in any shape, to attack in any direction. His abilities were intended to mimic The Claw's.
Preferred Strike: Dual, multiple-claw slash, one from each arm.

Ruthless, vicious, and deadly - And The Claw is unable to stop him.

Where did he come from? Why did he attack Intellect Defense and Todd's mentor? Where did he get his strange powers? And after his wake of destruction, where did he go?

Crimson Shell


Real name: ?
Affiliation: BioMech
Temperament: Bully, cruel, aggressive, impatient, griping, vengeful, and manipulative.
Weapons/Equipment:
ARMOR: Houses dual, giant, hydraulic-powered crushing claws, exo-skeleton suit, and catapult tail. The armored suit contains a camouflage coating which blends into smooth surfaces. It works better in the dark.
HELMET: His helmet contains sensitive scanners, sonar, and other tracking/listening devices, similar to The Claw's.
CLAWS: Has dual, giant, hydraulic-powered crushing claws as powerful as The Claw’s. However, they do not drill or fold like The Claw’s, only crush.
ALIEN LASERS: The claws also contain powerful lasers-the same alien lasers Ticket used to carry and still doesn’t know where they came from!
Preferred Strike: Grab that blasted Claw 'nd crush him to death while I slowly drill his mind's inside's out with my heat beam set to 'slow, decapitating, stupid.'

An ex-steel worker (like most) who was supposed to be another answer to The Claw problem after Shattered Shard failed.
He helped to catch Ticket with Shattered Shard so that they could steal the ionic bond.
Designed to mimic The Claw’s strengths… but not his mind.

Arachnid


When The Claw and Bionica were captured they stole two things from them: the secret to Bionica's dual appendages and a sample of The Claw's ionic bond! With those two technilogical advancements in the hands of Impervious he was able to finalize his product known as Arachnid!

He was intended to be a 'product' but The Claw discovered and thwarted his group's plans, sending them into disarray and driving them even further... underground.
